CMMI level

CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) is a process improvement framework that provides guidelines for managing and improving processes related to product development, service delivery, and project management. CMMI defines five maturity levels that organizations can achieve by demonstrating their process maturity and capability. The five maturity levels of CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) are:

Level 1 - Initial: Processes are ad hoc and chaotic. The organization has no formal processes in place, and processes are performed in an unstructured manner.

Level 2 - Managed: Basic processes are established and documented. The organization has a basic understanding of its processes and has implemented some standard processes across the organization.

Level 3 - Defined: Processes are well-established and documented. The organization has a standard process framework that is used across the organization, and processes are tailored to meet specific project needs.

Level 4 - Quantitatively Managed: Processes are measured and controlled. The organization has quantitative measures in place to monitor and control its processes, and uses data to make process improvements.

Level 5 - Optimizing: Processes are continuously improved. The organization is focused on continuous process improvement, and uses process metrics and data to identify opportunities for improvement.

Each maturity level builds on the previous level, and achieving a higher maturity level requires a more advanced level of process maturity and capability. Organizations can use the CMMI framework to assess their current process maturity and identify opportunities for improvement.
